Crop production and protection

We do management of major crops including and not limited to maize, legumes and vegetables. Our focus is to make sure farmers use recommended quality planting material(s) with one or more of the following characteristics: disease resistance and tolerance, high yielding, early maturing, better tastes, size, and longer shelf life. The use of quality planting materials ensures higher returns as farmers have less expenditure on control of pest and diseases and they are high yielding. In addition, we are keen to ensure crop intensification while using best management practices. Things don’t work as expected all the times, we are therefore good in trouble-shooting in plantations, agriculture projects and farming systems. We do all this in compliance with certification standards for environmental stewardship and sustainable production. Finally yet importantly, we do publication of a range of handbooks, extension materials and textbooks on maize and legumes cultivation.
